It’s back and will go viral and will sell out and also, you’ll never find it. Well, I hope you do but yeah, Trader Joe’s Holiday 2024 items are here and the Brazil Nut Body Trio is back! The set includes a Brazil Nut Body Butter, Brazil Nut Fragrance Mist, and Brazil Nut Body Oil! The set will be $12.99 and it should be landing at Trader Joe’s tonight or at least by tomorrow! Call ahead and sometimes they are willing to hold one!

Another returning item is the Shimmering Candy Cane Body Butter and it’s not up on the website yet but they’ll also be a new Candy Cane Body Scrub! Those will be $5.99 each!

We also have a new Trader Joe’s Body Butter Trio ($7.99) featuring three mini body butters in Lavender Santal, White Gardenia, and Pineapple Bergamot.

A new Trader Joe’s 12 Days of Beauty Advent Calendar ($20) has landed as well which features skin and body care items (2019’s calendar pictured below). It’s always a fun little pick up if you enjoy Trader Joe’s beauty offerings!

One of my favs is back! The Trader Joe’s Peppermint Foaming Hand Soap ($2.99) returns for 2024. I love this stuff! It smells just like crushed up candy canes! And it’s so cheap!

So far, these are the Trader Joe’s Holiday 2024 Beauty offerings but I find they tend to surprise us with one or two more drops as we draw closer to they Holidays! I believe the Gummy Bear Lip Balm and Sleep Mask is back as well but didn’t see anything about the awful Hot Cocoa Body Scrub thankfully! I’ll keep you posted when more new items launch!

I’m missing Etude House Sweet Recipe Baby Choux Base lately so I decided to get this peach tone up cream to see how it compares. Tone Up Creams are great for dull skin or if you want to brighten up your complexion pre-foundation.

NOVO Fingertip Glitter Eyeshadow $4.48
I’ve recently been really into shimmery eye looks! Blame the Holiday season! And I enjoy all these touch shimmers and glitters as they are so easy to apply on top of powder eyeshadow. I thought I’d give these NOVO ones a try out! The orange shade literally stood on a chair and yelled at me to buy it.

Heimish Marine Care Algae + Peptide Eye Cream $23
You already know I am a HUGE fan of Heimish’s eye cream! It’s majorly hydrating and so affordable. They actually reformulated it recently and although, I have a backup of the original formula I really wanted to try the new version! I’m scared the change isn’t for the better but MAYBE it is!

ZEESEA 9 Colors Eyeshadow Palette in Rose and Orange $10
I’ve had my eye on these two palettes from ZEESEA for a while and the price is quite nice at the moment so I grabbed both! I’m in love with the shades!

Baccarat Rouge 540 Body Lotion will set you back $95 but who needs that when we have the new Baccarat Rouge 540 $8 EOS Sparkling Amber Shea Better Holiday Body Lotion! Yes, it smells like Baccarat Rouge 540 and I’m here for that.

EOS Sparkling Amber Body Lotion one of three new, limited edition Holiday 2024 Body Lotions! I’ve already reviewed the EOS Peppermint Cashmere Body Lotion and Whipped Shea & Sugar Body Lotion and I liked both of those as well but I’m leaning towards saying Sparkling Amber is my favorite of the three.

I’m hearing a lot of mixed reviews on this one but I have to say I love it. It’s not an exact dupe of Baccarat Rouge but it’s fairly close and layers well with the fragrance! I’d liken it to Fine’ry The New Rouge! Very close to Baccarat Rouge 540 but just not identical. But hey, if you’re a BR540 fan girl I don’t see why you wouldn’t love this.

What’s most interesting is the notes aren’t nothing like BR540! This contains notes of sugared pink grapefruit, rich red berries, blooming star jasmine, dreamy pink cotton candy, and warm woody musk. I’ve always called BR540 a naughty cotton candy scent so maybe that note is what’s typing this together with BR540 for me. I love it. It’s warm, comforting, and the scent lingers beautifully. When I saw the notes I was expecting more of a fruity cotton candy blend with perhaps a bit of warmth due to the woods but nope, it’s all BR540 to me!

EOS Sparkling Amber Shea Better Holiday Body Lotion arrives in new cheery packaging for the Holidays. It’s a 16 oz bottle with a pump and it’s baby pink in color with a cute little snowflake design. It’s priced around $8.99-$9.99 depending where you purchase it.

The formula is the traditional lightweight, creamy consistency of the original EOS 24HR Moisture Body Lotion. It absorbs easily, doesn’t leave me greasy nor oily and provides lightweight hydration with a nice lingering fragrance.

Remember the good old drugstore makeup days? I remember heading to Harmon’s every week to see what was see as brands like Maybelline, Wet n Wild, L’Oreal, Physicians Formula and others would have new seasonal collection every other day! It was such a great time in the world of makeup! Why did it ever stop? Now finding new drugstore makeup is like winning the lotto. First off, there’s not a lot of it. The releases are really far and between! And when something new does launch it INSTANTLY goes viral and proves impossible to find as it sells out fast at stores like Target and Walmart. And lastly, I hate the exclusive drops! For example, Maybelline will drop new stuff exclusively at Amazon before anywhere else. For some reason it just makes me rage! I have an Amazon Prime Membership but sometimes I just wanna see something in person before buying it.

Sigh. Times have changed that’s for sure but hey, at least there’s always something new in the world of drugstore beauty. Here’s a few drugstore makeup and beauty picks you might to look into!

Palmer’s Brazilian Coco Cream $13.99
It’s not exactly new but it is newish! Palmer’s now comes in Sol de Janeiro like packaging and I can’t say I hate that. I sort of dig this new packaging! And Coco Cream not only smells amazing but it’s super moisturizing!

E.L.F. Fine as Fleck Glitter Eyeshadow $6
I’ve seen these compared to Patrick Ta’s new formula and Urban Decay’s old fav, Moondust! Whichever one you’re thinking they dupe I can attest that they are very pretty and give eyes a pretty hint of shimmer! They work great when used with other powder shadows to add just that right touch of sparkle!

L’Oreal Lumi Le Glass and Glow Highlighter Stick $12.99
Influencers are already pimping these out as the newest “you’ll die if you don’t buy it” highlighter stick! I’m not so sure about that but highlighter fans might enjoy the fact these come in a twist up barrel for easy dab and blend application and a formula that has either a glow-y or glassy finish!

Maybelline Super Stay Teddy Tint Long Lasting Matte Lip Tint $13
I don’t want these nor do I need them but you might love these new plush blurring matte lip tints that act to stain lips for all day wear! Plus you can use them as a blush! I’m just not a matte girl so I’ll skip!

Ok, Dove we see you! Dove has an entire selection of new body care that contains a ton of interesting peptides. This body serum is a target treatment they call “face care for the body” that contains skin smoothing and brightening niacinamide as well as collagen for hydration! It works on stretch marks, uneven skin tone, elasticity issues, and more!

L’Oreal Paradise Big Deal Volumizing and Lengthening Washable Mascara $15.99
We have a new Paradise Mascara and I don’t hate that (because I love the original formula). This one promises buildable volume and length with a clump-free formula no matter how much you layer and a lighter formula that smooths lashes.

Wet n Wild Hello Kitty Liquid Eyeshadow ($8) is a new, limited-edition cream shadow in a pretty light shimmering pink called Cheers! that launched with the Hello Kitty x Wet n’ Wild Makeup Collection in celebration of our fav little cat (little girl dressed like a cat anyway!) anniversary.

I’m a pretty big fan of cream shadows so it was a no brainer to pick this one up! I did want the shade Bubbly which appears to be matte but sadly, it’s sold out everywhere but the Cheers! was just as pretty so I picked i up when I purchased the rest of my little Hello Kitty haul!

Here’s my review and swatches.

Wet n Wild Hello Kitty Liquid Eyeshadow (0.10 oz) arrives in a cute little box featuring a Hello Kitty cutout. This is the type of box I’d have probably have kept several years ago but I’ve become less of a pack rat/makeup hoarder and I tossed it out. I find I like to just keep things simple in my makeup life lately and I’ve stopped the bad millennial habit of keeping every single box (I even tossed out my new iPhone’s box! I’m proud of myself!). And hey, the actual eyeshadow has cute packaging too! It has a white top and a outline sketch of Hello Kitty decorating the barrel. Inside you’ll get a flat sponge applicator that makes it easy to swipe on the shadow.

Sadly, I hated this formula. It’s a very sheer, almost iridescent pale pink that has a wet texture versus a cream one. It feels like a gel glitter formula which actually makes it sort if difficult to use as a topper which I’ll explain further in a sec.

This formula was very thin, spread easily, but as I said it was sort of wet and creased when I went to curl my lashes as it doesn’t fully dry down. I did try to wear it two ways. The first way I used it by itself and I could barely see the color on my lids. But I decided I’d just use it as an eyeshadow topper as I thought it would add a little pink shimmer to a pink powder shadow. Bad idea! The wet texture made my powder shadow look clumpy and smeared it. Wearing it alone also, resulted in it creasing within an hour of wear. It’s just a formula that refuses to set.

This looks really, really pretty in the packaging but that color just doesn’t translate to lids. It’s too sheer and too wet to fully enjoy! Sadly, I’d recommend a skip on this. Not worth the near $10 price tag at all!

I’m sad to say Dove Winter Mint Body Scrub is a total failure for me for two reasons. One the price is a little wonky and two I really don’t want to smell like a busy Christmas Tree Lot on Christmas Eve. I am so not into this. When they said “Winter Mint” I thought something cool, crispy, and refreshing. But it smells like a minty Christmas Tree!

First off, let’s discuss size. Last year, Dove did a Hot Cocoa Mini Scrub which they actually re-released this year (Why? That’s a mystery as they released a large size of Hot Cocoa Swirl Body Scrub as well!) and I loved it but wasn’t in love with the price. The mini scrubs are cute stocking stuffers but the price is so off. It’s $5 bucks for 3.5 oz of product whereas the larger scrubs are 10.5 oz for $9.99. I wish these were priced a little better! I think $2.99-$3.99 would be a better price point!

Secondly, this is so NOT into when it comes to mint. Too bad they didn’t do a peppermint scent or maybe a candy cane one as I’m just not in love with it. It smells like eucalyptus and phellandrene aka minty Christmas tree. I didn’t love it. I’m just not into that weird pine, minty, balsam thing this has going on! The scrub itself is nice. I prefer a gritty scrub but these are nice for daily use. They have a creamy base with a lightly grainy consistency that suds up when water is applied. P.S. It looks like toothpaste! Haha!

Dove Winter Mint Body Scrub was a skip for me. If you want to smell like a Christmas Tree this one is available! I’d recommend Peppermint Bark instead!
