I did my little Ulta 21 Days of Beauty Haul today and of course, I couldn’t resist adding one of the new About-Face Blush Rush Liquid Blush to my cart because I’m a rather big fan of the brand and I’d love to see their take on the liquid blush trend! Available in six shade selections the new Blush Rush Liquid Blush is $18 and contains moisturizing ingredients like jojoba oil, hyaluronic acid, and squalane. As with most of these new liquid blushes this is supposed to be highly pigmented and blends easily thanks to the hydrating, creamy consistency. It arrives in a square barrel with a larger doe foot applicator for easy dot and blend application!

Shades:

• Grand Prix (brown)
• Hot Lap (hot pink)
• In the Dust (rosy mauve)
• Jump Start (vivid lilac)
• Pit Stop (orange peach)
• Starting Line (peachy pink)

I got Starting Line. Call me boring but that seemed the one that was the less bolder of the six. Because, really, from my experience with Rare Beauty Soft Pinch Liquid Blush these things can be a little tricky to NOT overdo as they pack in pigment. Plus I love a good peachy pink shade!

Ok, Ulta, we see you over there trying to trump Sephora. Introducing yet another Urban Decay Moondust Space Cowboy Glitter Eyeshadow Palette for the Holiday 2024 season but this time we’re getting not four shades but six. As you know Urban Decay recently dropped the Moondust Space Cowboy Glitter Eyeshadow Palette over at Sephora and now we’re getting a second version of it that will be available exclusively at Ulta and by the way, I don’t hate it.

The Sephora version is rather basic packaging with a clear plastic compact but the Ulta version comes in a star-shaped palette that sort of reminds me of the Too Faced Christmas Star Face & Eye Palette from back in the day but on a smaller scale.

I’m sorting of digging these soft nude and peach sparkly shades they went with in these palettes. They don’t scream Holiday but I think they’ll make some rather beautiful looks. Sure, it isn’t really the normal boldness we expect and love from Urban Decay but I can’t say these shades aren’t appealing to my older adult eyes. Also, unlike the Sephora version this contains two matte shades and not all sparkle ones!

This palette does have a repeat of the Space Cowboy Rides Again shade which makes an appearance in the Sephora palette as well. That shade is a light peachy shimmer with silver glitter. The other five shades are exclusively in this palette. You get:

• Vibing Soft peach nude matte
• A-List Energy Peachy pink shimmer + magenta glitter
• VIP Only Muted rose pink matte
• Endless Party Cool brown shimmer + silver glitter
• No Sleep Club Warm brown matte + magenta glitter

This is a little pricy at $49 and Ulta doesn’t disclose the size of each shadow. I do know the Sephora version is nearly full-size shades at 0.05 oz which I hope w can expect from this version as well! Some part of me wants to grab this before it sells out as last year the Holiday 2024 Moondust Palettes did go rather fast which was very unexpected. I thought they’d be out on the clearance rack for years but they actually did disappear rather fast. I may wait 20% off and grab both of these. I think I’d actually get a lot of use out of them.

When is the Sephora Holiday Savings Event for Holiday 2024? Good question! Fall isn’t even officially here yet and already we’re concerned about Holiday Sales! The Sephora Holiday Savings Event is always a popular topic across different platforms and even though in more recent years people like hearing when Ulta is about to drop 20% off the Sephora 20% Off deal is always something that gets people pretty hyped up for the Holiday season ahead.

Last year the sale started on October 27th for Rouge Members and of course, it was a savings of 20% off sitewide. If you’re an early Holiday shopper this was an ideal time for your to grab Holiday Beauty and Makeup Gift Sets on sale. Personally, I think it’s a bit TOO early for me but I get people that like to prep super early so they can have it all done and just enjoy the experience of the Holiday without the stress of shopping and finding that perfect gift for a loved one. But as someone who adores the Fall and the Holidays that come with the season it feels a little too rushed for me to start shopping the Holidays when Halloween hasn’t even hit.

Sephora is busy dropping new Holiday Gift Sets, Makeup and Beauty Advent Calendars, and Holiday launches daily this week which means the Holiday Savings Event 2024 is around the corner. I wouldn’t be too surprised if by the end of this month we don’t already see a mailer to “Save the Date!” for the sale. As always I direct you over to my “How to Shop the Sephora Sale with Tricks, Trips, and Hacks” to help you save money and to remind you that Sephora’s Holiday Sale isn’t the only one that happens around this time of the year. If you happen to want to shop later in the season like me I can promise you that deals will be just as good well into November and December. Sephora understands this and will likely do another 20% offer which typically extends to everyone (not just Rouge) as they did last year (that happened in December). But as they say, “The early bird gets the worm” so, you might want to pick up the items you think might sell out and hold off stocking up on on staples that perhaps won’t.

One of the biggest things to remember during this sale is that you don’t have to shop all the brands at Sephora. It’s hard to not get caught up in the frenzy of Holiday Beauty but chances are a lot of brands will have their own sales which will have great discounts than 20% off. Just remember to ask yourself, “Is this brand going to have a better deal later in the season?” before indulging at Sephora. It’s never too early to stock your cart as far as I’m concerned and it’s actually a good idea to do it now. Why? Because you have PLENTY of time to think about what’s in it. I find when I put a bunch of stuff in my cart and don’t check out right away I’ll return in a few hours or a day and look at it again with a more critical eye. In some cases, I might completely delete the cart! Yay money saved! Or sometimes I’ll remove several items because I know I don’t really need them. So, adding to cart now and not checking out will likely save you money when the sale does finally arrive.

One thing I do think will happen this year which we should all part attention to his the sales (not just Sephora but in general) maybe be limited to Black Friday or Cyber Monday and there may even be fewer of them. I noticed this past Labor Day brands didn’t go really hard with sales. It feels like sales are happen a little less than normal. I also noticed last year the sales were fast and furious leading up to Black Friday and Cyber Monday but were lesser after or the deals weren’t as good which was a problem for late shoppers. It’s definitely a good idea to keep this in mind when shopping this Holiday season!

When Will The Sephora Holiday Savings Event 2024 Start? Well, we don’t technically know that yet but my bets are October again this year. I’ll keep you updated as more news become available.

You’ll get Gloss Bomb Universal Lip Luminizer in Dragon Mami, Gloss Bomb Heat Universal Lip Luminizer + Plumper in Hot Cherry, and Gloss Bomb Cream Color Drip Lip Cream in Fenty Glow. These are all 0.30 oz in size and retail for $21 each but this set is $40. It’s almost like purchasing two shades and getting one free. The best part is you’ll get a brand new, shade which is Dragon Mami. Dragon Mami has already been available in the Fenty Beauty Rihanna Mattemoiselle Lipstick formula but gets an upgrade in the Gloss Bomb Universal Lip Luminizer as instead of matte it’s now a shimmering finish! It’s actually a very pretty, bright, and bold coral and should look beautiful paired up with the lipstick if you own it (or on its own).

I’ve always been a rather big fan of the Gloss Bomb formula and I look forward to the gift sets. One of the more interesting things about the new Fenty Beauty by Rihanna Glossy Posse VII is the fact it’s cheaper than the Fenty Beauty Glossy Posse Volume 6.0 Full-Size Gloss Bomb Trio for Holiday 2023. With everything going up and things becoming smaller for more money that was an unexpected surprise. Merry Christmas from Riri! We appreciate you didn’t raise the price girl! Last year the set features three full-size shades and was $42 where as this year we get the same but for $40. Hey, it’s only two bucks but I still appreciate it didn’t go up!

I remember being a little sad about the set only featuring three shades where as the Fenty Beauty Glossy Posse Mini Gloss Bomb Set Holo’Daze Edition from Holiday 2020 and the Fenty Glossy Posse: Fantasy 4Sum 4-Piece Gloss Bomb Set from Holiday 2021 had a bit more variety but let’s not forget last year in October they dropped a Fenty Beauty by Rihanna The Gloss Bomb Vault and that was a very pleasant surprise. We’re only just seeing the first of the Holiday 2024 Makeup drops so I don’t doubt Fenty Beauty Holiday 2024 will have more gift sets coming soon!
