Jo Malone Ginger Biscuit Is Back But the Real Tea Is Orange Marmalade is Also Back

Who’s excited that Jo Malone Ginger Biscuit has returned for the Holiday 2024 season? Last year, it sold out pretty fast and I’m ever so delighted it has returned this year. The scent was originally part of a Jo Malone Sugar & Spice Cologne Collection that launched for Spring 2024 and since that time has become a cult favorite gourmand. It was a limited-edition fragrance but since it’s launch ten plus years ago Jo Malone has snuck it re-released it a few times and it seems like it’s becoming a Christmas staple as this is the second time it’s made an appearance in the Jo Malone Holiday Collection. The scent is a spicy yummy cookie fragrance with notes of Ginger, Roasted Hazelnut, and Tonka Bean. If you aren’t interested in dropping $165 on the larger bottle you can grab Jo Malone Mini Ginger Biscuit & Orange Bitters Cologne Duo which includes minis of Ginger Biscuit and Orange Bitters which is another yummy scent!

I can sit here all day and wax poetry about how much I love Ginger Biscuit but the bigger news to share is that Jo Malone Orange Marmalade is back in stock! I waffled on purchasing this when it launched several months ago because it was getting mixed reviews about smelling close to Orange Bitters. And I love Orange Bitters but I already have it so why buy it again? I waited too long and it sold out and I cried myself to sleep that I didn’t buy it. The fragrance launched in collaboration with everyone’s favorite bear, Paddington, Jo Malone created this fragrance with marketing that states, “Just because we love Orange Marmalade”. And hey, who doesn’t right? Love orange marmalade that is! And we know Paddington does! If you ever get to Leicester Square I highly recommend taking a sandwich and sitting next to the statue of Paddington to eat it and of course, to take a picture.

I didn’t think Orange Marmalade would restock but was delighted when I saw that it did and I didn’t hesitate grabbing a bottle. It’s still very limited-edition so I wasn’t chancing it disappearing again! This citrus gourmand has notes of Orange Peel, Bitter Orange, Clary Sage and Cashmere Woods. It’s the perfect addition to anyone’s tea table.

I’ll be reviewing it soon but if you want a bottle best grab it now at Jo Malone’s website (and don’t let Ginger Biscuit slip away before you grab a bottle!).

Billie Eilish Teases New Your Turn Perfume

If you’ve been eagerly awaiting an Eilish 4 Fragrance that isn’t happening but there appears to be an Billie Eilish 3 Perfume in the works for the Holiday Season. Billie has been launching her fragrances around November just in time for the Holiday season since Eilish 1 made an appearance on the season. I’ve seen celebrity fragrances come and go but none have made as lasting an impression with me as Eilish did. It was an expected smashing success in the gourmand world with the warm, comforting, cozy cocoon it wrapped you in on the very first spray! With notes of sugar, vanilla, cacao, berries, orange, woods, and amber it makes for a warm, inviting fragrance for the cool weather. Eilish No 2 brought us an entirely new experience! This was a woodsy floral musk that quite reminded me of Illamasqua Freak Eau de Parfum from way back in the day. And finally, Billie’s latest release is Eilish No 3 which I had guessed would be some sort of Tom Ford Lost Cherry dupe. But boy was I wrong! This one has notes of Pink Pepper, Grapefruit, Saffron, Amber, and Oakmoss Not a cherry was damaged in the making of this fragrance. It’s a rather sexy Oriental blend.

What sets Billie’s fragrances apart from other brands is the uniqueness of each of her releases. It feels like many brands especially celebrity ones have one great hit of a fragrance and proceed to do different spins on the great success and popularity of the original. With each of Billie’s releases we got a truly unique fragrance that never copied the original fragrance she started with which means that the new Your Turn Perfume will likely be something very, very different. Billie has expressed wanting to leave behind the Eilish Collection after No 3’s release and wanted to do something entirely different and new with her next fragrance so I think it’s safe to say Your Turn will be an interesting launch.

According to reports the fragrance will launch in a silver lacquered dice shaped bottle which is where the fragrance gets its name from as in your turn to throw the dice. As for the notes, well, sadly, those have not yet been revealed but I suspect they will be soon as the fragrance should be well on it’s way to release for November if I’m guessing right!

Are you curious what the Billie Eilish Your Turn Perfume will smell like? I think it can go either way! We may get something masculine and aggressive this time or perhaps, she might give us something sweet as she hasn’t quite ventured into the sweet zone yet but those dice have me thinking it won’t be that.

What’s your guess?

The Value of Drunk Elephant The Trunk 8.0 Math is Not Mathing

Drunk Elephant The Trunk 8.0 has dropped! What is the The Trunk 8.0? Well, it’s the 8th (can you believe we’ve had eight of these?) variation of Drunk Elephant’s traditional mega skincare gif set for Holiday 2024. I gotta admit my favorite edition of the Trunk was 3.0 because it all came packaged in a cute Mini Fridge plus back then (2021) it was only $450 now it’s a whooping $595. Not to mention it was $460 last year and went up $135 this year. Dude…! That price keeps creeping up doesn’t it? Speaking of mini fridges..! Last year, Tula dropped the Best Sellers 10-Piece Limited-Edition Vault with a mini fridge! I wonder if they’ll do one again?

But I digress, back to the Trunk! I’d normally recommend purchasing this around the Sephora Holiday Savings Event BUT even if you have a 20% Rouge Discount it can be pretty expensive. But the other thing is, it actually doesn’t sell out as fast as it once did! I remember when this would disappear from shelves fast but now it sort of sticks around and at this price, even on sale, it’ll probably be there for a while! Well, unless the ten year old grab it up!

What are the contents of the Drunk Elephant The Trunk 8.0? Good question! It has 10 full-size Drunk Elephant favs plus two deluxe samples and four smaller packet samples.

Drunk Elephant The Trunk 8.0 comes with the following items:

  • Full Size Protini Polypeptide Cream (1.69 oz)
  • Full Size C-Firma Fresh Day Serum (0.94 oz)
  • Full Size T.L.C. Framboos Glycolic Night Serum (1.0 oz)
  • Full Size B-Hydra Intensive Hydration Serum (1.69 oz)
  • Full Size A-Passioni Retinol Cream (1.0 oz)
  • Full Size D-Bronzi Anti-Pollution Sunshine Drops (1.0 oz)
  • Full Size B-Goldi Bright Drops (1.0 oz)
  • Full Size Beste No. 9 Jelly Cleanser (5.0 oz)
  • Full Size T.L.C. Sukari Babyfacial (1.69 oz)
  • DLX Sample Bora Barrier Repair Cream (0.16 oz)
  • DLX Sample Slaai Makeup-Melting Butter Cleanser (0.46 oz)
  • Packette Lala Retro Whipped Cream (0.5 oz)
  • Packette Ceramighty AF Eye Balm (0.5 oz)
  • Packette Bouncy Brightfacial (0.5 oz)
  • Packette Virgin Marula Luxury Facial Oil (0.5 oz)

What’s the value of the Drunk Elephant The Trunk 8.0? Another good question! Without counting the deluxe sizes and smaller sample packets you’re looking at $602 worth of products which isn’t a terribly great value overall. I mean, unless you’re counting the suitcase and really, I can just go and buy a cuter suitcase at TJ’s or Marshall’s. I’d rather just buy these items individually as I can pick and choose the ones I want as I know I’ll never use the bronzing or highlighting drops anyway! The whole point of a Holiday Gift Set is to save money and this isn’t saving you any money!

The oddly expensive Drunk Elephant The Trunk 8.0 is available now. Maybe the ten year olds want it but this girl will be spending her money elsewhere!

Anyone need new makeup brushes? Around this time of the year, when the Holiday Collections starting arriving, I always feel like I need new brushes. I really don’t. I have enough brushes to do makeup on 500 faces but of course, the gift sets roll in and I’m like, “Oh my god I need those brushes!” Also, it doesn’t help that right now the Ulta Fall Haul Sale is happening and of course, they have brushes on sale! As for me, I’m going to refrain from buying new ones but if you do need some new brushes I highly recommend shopping now for these great deals!

I’m a broken record over here but if you don’t already own the Everyday Eye Essentials Makeup Brush Set from Real Techniques you’re missing out. It goes on sale every year for 30% off ($13.99) and it’s a fantastic essential eye set. It comes with eight brushes all with super soft bristles. I own two sets and they’ve been washed and rewashed dozens of time and retain their shape and softness. This is one of my favorite budget makeup brush picks! I can’t recommend it enough!

Also, new to my collection is the Miracle Complexion Sponge + Miracle 2-In-1 Powder Puff! Such a cool, cool item! It features two different sides that you can easily switch between! Check my detailed review for more info but this is a keeper and it’s on sale for $7.69 plus it comes with a Full-Size Miracle Complexion Blending Sponge as well!

Need Some New Makeup Brushes? Here’s What’s On Sale And Which To Buy

If these aren’t your deal you can take advantage of Morphe Makeup Brushes, Real Technique Makeup Brushes and Brush Sets, and Ecotool Makeup Brushes and Brush Sets at 30% off all week long at ulta.com plus save an extra $3.50 on your $15 purchase with code 188397.

Enjoy!
