You’re Going to be Popular if You Use the Beloved Wicked Collection

Yes, it’s true there’s a Beloved Wicked Collection that includes fragrances inspired by the beloved book, Broadway show, and upcoming movie starring Cynthia Erivo as Elphaba and Ariana Grande as Glinda! Wicked is getting a big push in the beauty world with many collaboration available now from REM Beauty, Beekman 1802, It Cosmetics, Caboodles, OPI, and many, many more but Beloved was not on my Wicked Bingo Card and I’m here for it. The Beloved Wicked Collection will be arriving at Target and target.com on October 27th!

There are two collections each representing our two heroines Elphaba and Glinda. The collections will include a Body Mist, Hand Lotion, Body Wash, and and Candle.

Beloved Wicked Defy Gravity Collection is inspired by Elphaba and has fresh notes of water blossom with a juicy twist of melon and crisp cucumber. The Beloved Wicked So Popular! Collection is inspired by Glinda and has notes of roses with a surprising twist of juicy red berries and feminine notes of white musk.

The Beloved Wicked Collection will set you back $4.99 to $9.99 making it a cute budget pick if you want some early Christmas stocking stuffers for the Wicked fan girls or guys in your life! Let’s just hope it doesn’t sell out super fast as I notice collections like this tend to just disappear off shelves before you can blink! The Dove Holiday Treats Collection really flew off shelves. It’s odd how quickly smaller, drugstore releases just disappear so fast. I really think its due to resellers who sell them for much, much more on Mercari which is sad for fans like us that just want one of the item!

Thanks But No Thanks on These Beauty Picks

The Sephora Holiday Savings Event 2024 starts very soon and of course, there are plenty of new makeup, beauty, and fragrance launches to take advantage of. I think this year will be super unpredictable as to what will sell out and what will remain in stock. I mean, did anyone really think the Tower 28 Lil’ Softies Lip Treatment Set would disappear that fast? Thankfully, Tower 28 still has it in stock but it’s been gone from Sephora for a bit now. If I had to call it I’d have told you the Summer FridaysThe Mini Neutrals Lip Butter Balm Set would have sold out but nope, Tower 28 was the one to go first. So yeah, things are oddly unpredictable this year. I’m pretty tempted to get the new Fenty Skin Toasted Marshmallow Butta Drop Whipped Oil Body Cream and Lil Butta Dropz Mini Whipped Oil Body Cream Trio. But remember last year and how the trio stuck around FOREVER on sale? But some part of me is like the caramel and marshmallow are going to be really popular and will probably sale out. So, I’m torn do I get it now or wait for a good sale? Ugh!

That being said I do know a few beauty picks I’ll be saying no thanks to! Here’s what’s on my makeup and beauty no buy list.

I happen to be a huge Wicked fan. I’ve seen the play more times than I care to share. But the Wicked beauty launches, well, I’m not too into them especially the R.E.M. Beauty X Wicked Collection. But why does the palette look like an Essence one? I’m so sad! This could have been amazing release but I’m not feeling it. Money saved I guess!

I hate to say this because I buy this almost every year and it’s SO pretty this year but I think I’m going to skip the Charlotte’s Beauty Treasure Chest Of Love Advent Calendar. I have almost everything in it so, really do I need to bother? I think not.

As much as I love the Pat Mcgrath Holiday launches I can see myself easily skipping the Luminous Legends: Mega Eye Shadow Palette. Even if this one goes on sale I dunno if I need it as it feels like a rerun of the Holiday Palettes I already own!

30% Off Pat Mcgrath, Sunday Riley, and Briogeo at Sephora Includes Pat’s Luminous Legends Mega Palette

I like a good moisturizing foundation but Patrick Ta’s new Major Skin Hydra-Luxe Luminous Skin Perfecting Foundation For Natural Glow just isn’t it for me. Does anyone simply hate glowy foundations? I feel like they put a spotlight on my face. Nope, not for me.

I think this is self explanatory but I’m just saying no to Sephora Advent Calendar anything. They are a complete waste of money and the addition of stuff like hair hands and nail stickers just isn’t the way. Nope, I’m good.

Call me cheap or call me crazy but I won’t drop $75 on a 1.7 oz bottle of Glossier You Rêve Eau de Parfum. I don’t understand the hype over the original to be honest. It’s a nice fragrance but not sure it warrants to OMG you need it reviews. And $75 bucks? I’d rather put that towards a niche or luxury fragrance. This should be $45-$50 at most. Am I curious to smell it? Yes. But do I think I’ll love it and buy it? Doubt it.

Don’t quote me to this ok? But I might skip the Hourglass Holiday 2024 Ambient Lighting Edit Unlocked Palettes this year. I’ve been waffling with these as they went on sale here and there the last few weeks and I put them in my cart only to take them out. I think the shades feel a lot like what I already own. But again, don’t hold me too this one because I may cave.

What’s on your no buy beauty list at the moment? Do share!

I Can See Myself Buying Some of the Wet n Wild Hello Kitty Collection

The next Sanrio Collection is now available from Wet n Wild! The new, limited-edition Wet n Wild Hello Kitty Makeup Collection has arrived and it’s just as cute as the Wet n Wild My Melody and Kuromi Collection that launched back in 2020. I reviewed a few pieces from the collection like the Wet n Wild My Melody Liquid Matte Lip Color and Wet n Wild x My Melody x Kuromi Blushlighter Palette. Other pieces I ended up hoarding away because they were actually too cute to use. I normally don’t get TOO excited about Wet n Wild collaborations lately! They are cute but they can be a little disappointing like the Scooby Doo x Wet n Wild Scooby-Doo Where Are You? Eye & Face Palette was adorable but the formula was a bit on the meh side.

But as a lifelong Hello Kitty fan and a makeup lover I sort of want a few of these items. Let’s take a look!

Judge Me If You Must But I Spend On the New Sparkly E.L.F. Eyeshadows

I know, I know! I have enough sparkly eyeshadows to last me a life time. But hey, the new E.L.F. Fine as Fleck Glitter Eyeshadow dropped today and I had to have them! E.L.F. Cosmetics Fine as Fleck Glitter Eyeshadow is a new range of six dollar eyeshadows that look an awful lot like Urban Decay Moondust Eyeshadows. We know E.L.F. loves to dupe everything and Fleck Glitter Eyeshadow seems to be a dupe of Moondust Eyeshadow. And why wouldn’t they introduce a dupe now considering Urban Decay has launched not one but two different Moondust Eyeshadow Palettes for the Holiday 2024 Season! We got the Urban Decay Moondust Space Cowboy Glitter Eyeshadow Palette and the more basic version of it available at Sephora which is the Moondust Space Cowboy Glitter Eyeshadow Quad. With all these Moondust drops of course, E.L.F. is going to want in on the action.

Their new Fine as Fleck Glitter Eyeshadow sheer sparkly eyeshadow topper with micro-fine glitter that can be worn alone or on top of your favorite powder or cream eyeshadows. They promise a soft, smooth formula that isn’t gritty and plenty of refined glitter to create a wash of sparkle on your lids!

Shades include:

  • White Hot (white sparkle)
  • Champagne Showers (peachy beige champagne sparkle)
  • Pop Off Pink (pink sparkle)
  • It’s Gilt (golden sparkle)
  • Straight Fire (red and green with White Sparkle)
  • Filthy Rich (neutral brown with champagne sparkle)

As for me, I’m sort of rediscovered my life of sparkle eyeshadow! I sort of went matte and I still love a good matte eye look but sparkles and shimmers have always been top in my heart. Plus I like formulas like this that allow me to mix with my current favorite powders especially mattes where they might apply a bit flat and you need just the lightest touch of sparkle to add a bit more fun to your look! These are inexpensive as well at $6 each which is a hell of a lot cheaper than Urban Decay’s formula. What I do find interesting is lately E.L.F. doesn’t go all out with shades (nor does Colourpop). Where as before they would launch something new and it would come in hundreds of colors that simply isn’t the case anymore. Now they keep things to around six to eight shades and if the item is popular we’ll suddenly get more shades added.

E.L.F. Fine as Fleck Glitter Eyeshadow are available now on their website and will be coming soon to Ulta!
