Brace yourselves as we’re headed to Paris for the Holiday Season! Bath and Body Works x Emily Paris Collection will be dropping in Novemver and will feature over 50 different Bath and Body Works in four different, limited-edition scents. They’ll be fragrance mists, body washes, body creams, candles, soaps, and accessories to take advantage of with prices ranging from $2 to $36.

What are the Bath and Body Works x Emily Paris fragrance names and notes? I got all that info for you!

Champagne in Paris, a brand-new fragrance created specifically for the partnership, features notes of champagne spritz, elderberry fizz and lily of the valley. The rose icon on the packaging is a nod to one of Emily’s iconic costumes from the series’ newest installment, season four.

Paris Amour, a customer-favorite scent, which originally debuted in 2011, is making a limited-time return for this launch. The fragrance icon features notes of French tulips, apple blossoms and sparkling pink champagne, and the Parisian skyline design celebrates the setting and namesake of the show.

Lavender Luxe was inspired by the iconic lavender fields from season three and brings a botanical fragrance to the collection with notes of Lavande de Provence, flirtatious jasmine and vanilla crush. The houndstooth pattern within the design was a pattern prominently seen in the first season.

Macaron Cloud features notes of macaron delight, Parisian spun sugar and pink berries and brings to life the essence of a French patisserie, from the yummy aroma to the macaron icons scattered across the packaging.

Bath and Body Works x Emily in Paris Coming for the Holiday Season

As you know, Bath and Body Works is no stranger to Paris! In 2011, they had an entire Paris themed collection which was when the fragrance Paris Amour launched and since that time they’ve launched a few different Paris themed collections. Making it a perfect company to do an Emily in Paris Collection!

And hey, Bath and Body Works is really in their collaboration era as this is their third Netflix collaboration with the first being Bridgerton and more recently Stranger Things.

I have to say I’m terribly excited about this launch and hope they have some cute Paris-themed items! Paris is one of my fav cities in Europe so I hope they get this collection right! Expect Bath and Body Works x Emily in Paris to get an early BBW App launch so sign up for their free rewards program to be the first to know when the items land.

Do you think this is going to be a great collection?

Snow Fairy Body Scrub Review

My new beauty hyperfixation is Lush Body Scrubs. As you know I purchased Sticky Dates Body Scrub and LOVED it and now I grabbed up Snow Fairy Sugar Scrub and feel the need to hoard a bunch a bunch of jars of it in my closet. Ugh it’s so good and it smells so delicious. I’ve been a Snow Fairy for years now. It all started when I got my first Lush “Newspaper” via snail mail a million years ago. Yeah, Lush used to be a true mail order company! None of this Internet stuff! You’d get the little newspaper, look at all the delicious items, call them up to place an order, and wait like three weeks to get it. My first real order was for Christmas items and one of those items was Snow Fairy. It did not disappoint. The scent in impossible to describe! It’s like cotton candy, sweet, fruity, bubblegum, creamy vanilla everything. It’s delicious to say the least. Since that time Snow Fairy’s evolved and become so much more than a body wash! We have soap, we have scrub, we have lip scrub, we have shampoo, body mist, the items scented like Snow Fairy are endless. But two things never change and that’s the gorgeous smell of Snow Fairy and the fact it remains a Christmas tradition. So, when the season is over so is Snow Fairy.

As you may know Lush is now at Ulta and I dunno if Ulta knows but their 20% off coupon works on it (use code 978833). Good excuse for me to grab more! I got my pot from a Lush store and grabbed the larger but Ulta does have the smaller in stock for $12.50 ($10 after discount). Full disclosure I’m still sort of into Sticky Dates Body Scrub at the moment but Snow Fairy Body Scrub comes in second place for my attention!

The scrub is a bright yellow and pink shade! It’s drier, grainer sugar scrub but the magic happens when you apply it. It doesn’t have the oily consistency some scrubs have or the gooey texture of a Tree Hut scrub. It’s much drier but for some reason or another it still manages to not only leave you smooth but also, hydrated almost as if you apply a body oil after your shower. The grainy texture is perfect for buffing away drier areas and once water is added it creates a creamy, rich lather! Plus it leaves behind a lingering scent on your skin! You’ll smell sweet and fruity well after your shower is over!

I’m absolutely in love with these body scrubs from Lush lately! They may be quickly taking over my Tree Hut stash! If you have drier skin or just want smoother skin these a perfect way to get it!

Snow Fairy Body Scrub is available now for a limited time!

NYX The Face Glue Gripping Primer Review & Swatches

Now is a good time as any to review the NYX The Face Glue Gripping Primer as it’s currently on sale at Ulta but more on that later…! The Face Glue Gripping Primer is a new gripping foundation that launched a few weeks ago which promises to grip foundation while hydrating skin and doing so without the stickiness we commonly associate with a formula like this. It’s created with maple syrup! Go figure! And contains Polyglutamic Acid which acts to draw water to the skin and help to retain it. I happen to be a huge lover of gripping foundations and adore formulas like E.L.F. Jelly Pop Dew Primer, Milk Hydrogrip, etc…! The stickier the formula the more I like it! But I realize not everyone likes gripping primers because they are in fact pretty sticky. NYX The Face Glue Gripping Primer is actually one of the few primers that is advertised as a gripping formula but also, one that isn’t sticky. So, do we finally have a formula for the folks that hate sticky gripping formula?

Let’s check it out!

NYX The Face Glue Gripping Primer comes housed in old fashion glue bottle. Man, does this bring back memories. I went to school with kids that ate glue but I wasn’t guilty of that. I was however, guilty of pouring some on my desk and waiting for it to harden before peeling it off. I was also, guilty of giving myself paraffin wax spas with it! Anyone else? I thought the packaging was rather fun but I’ll be the first one to say I’m a little frustrated by it! I keep opening it wrong. It has the small squeeze top which is what you’re supposed to remove but I keep removing the second part of the top which also, opens. I wish they made it with the one top as that would make life a lot easier. So, I like this stuff but I love NYX Plump Right Back Electrolytes Plumping Primer Serum more. This just isn’t tacky or stickiness enough for this gripping primer lover.
.
The Face Glue Gripping Primer is a water-based formula that’s white in color and has a creamy yet runny consistency that’s fragrance-free. It’s not tacky nor sticky and it absorbs very fast and has a very lightweight feel on skin that sets a nice, well hydrated canvas for makeup. Foundation went out smoother and looked fresher and more smooth and even using this under it. I though it provided long term hydration throughout the day as my skin felt very smooth throughout the wear but not greasy or dewy. I have drier skin and this felt very hydrating to me but without creating shine or excess oil.

The question is did it make my foundation last longer? Yeah. My foundation looked fresher for longer using this. It absolutely created a nice canvas for makeup to last longer, look fresher, and not fade. Granted, it’s a little disappointed it’s not a traditional gripping primer (I just love the stickiness you get with those formulas) but if you HATE the sticky, tacky formula that comes along with using those I think you’ll really like The Face Glue Gripping Primer as it lacks that but still keeps foundation wearing longer and stronger.

I’m also, really impressed with the price of $9 for 1.18 oz as a lot of primers from NYX are quite expensive. As I said above, I really like Plump Right Back Electrolytes Plumping Primer Serum but it’s 1 oz and $17. $9 feels like the old NYX prices and I’m here for that! Plus NYX The Face Glue Gripping Primer is currently on sale at ulta.com! It’s 20% Off with code 978833 or you can buy 2, get 1 free on select NYX products this primer included plus use the coupon for extra savings!

NYX The Face Glue Gripping Primer is available now? Have you tried it?

Ulta Ulta Sephora Hautelook Neiman Marcus

NYX The Face Glue Gripping Primer is a new, permanent “gripping” primer that’s available in squeeze tube that looks like an old school glue bottle! It’s 1.18 oz in size and priced at $9 which makes it a rather nice price considering many NYX primers are priced at around $15-$17 lately. This primer is water-based and contains maple syrup for hold and Polyglutamic Acid to hydrate and help to retain moisture. It has a creamy yet runny consistency that absorbs easily and leaves skin with lasting hydration. It’s fragrance-free! It creates a nice smooth surface for foundation to apply easier and did in fact help to keep foundation wearing smoother and longer without fading or disappearing. It’s not a traditional gripping primer by any means so no stickiness or tackiness but still keeps foundation fresh and smooth all day!

Aqua / Water / Eau, Glycerin, PEG-150 Distearate, Butylene Glycol, PVP, Opuntia Ficus-Indica Stem Extract, Acer Saccharum Extract / Sugar Maple Extract, Potassium PCA, Carbomer, Isododecane, Sodium Hyaluronate, Tromethamine, Aluminum Hydroxide, Magnesium PCA, Isopropyl Titanium Triisostearate, Hydroxypropyltrimonium Hyaluronate, Caprylyl Glycol, Trisodium Ethylenediamine Disuccinate, Xanthan Gum, Panthenol, Ethylhexylglycerin, Polyglutamic Acid, Polyglyceryl-4 Isostearate, Octyldodecanol, Tocopherol, Ascorbyl Palmitate, Potassium Sorbate, Phenoxyethanol, CI 77891 / Titanium Dioxide

Pros

  • Keeps skin hydrated.
  • Creates a smooth canvas for foundation making application easier.
  • No fragrance.
  • Inexpensive.
  • Allows foundation to wear longer.

Cons

  • Packaging is a little frustrating.
  • Not a traditional gripping primer but more a regular priming formula.

Who

NYX The Face Glue Gripping Primer is a perfect pick for anyone that likes the idea of a gripping primer but doesn’t love the tacky or sticky feel of one!
