We still have a few short days to enjoy the Sephora Holiday Savings Event and I thought I’d share my top eye creams I’d totally buy (or in my case restock) during this event as some of these are on the pricy side! I do have a current dynamic duo I’m obsessed with using at the moment but the eye creams in this post are ones I own, use often, and adore. And as you may know I’m as obsessed with good eye creams as I am with concealers! I’ve tested A LOT and I do think most of them don’t actually work. Dark circles, puffiness, finer lines, all the things that plague us aren’t always easily addressable by an eye cream. I’ve sort of quit trying to cure these issues now I just look for eye creams with the most moisture and those, that contain HA or other ingredients that I know work to hydrate and smooth lines. Hydration is one the keys in making my finer lines look smoother and filled in! Which you’ll find below are quite a few intensely hydrating eye creams. So, if you have a drier under eye area these will be your bestest friend!

You’ve heard me say it before and I’ll say it again Hourglass Equilibrium Intensive Hydrating Eye Balm is my absolute fav. I’d buy it even if it wasn’t on sale. This has a thick, Vaseline-like and provides super nourishing hydration under eyes! It’s truly the best of the best if you need moisture!

As big a Youth to the People fan girl I am I can’t say I love their eye creams! When I got my hands on the Youth To The People Peptides + C Energy Eye Concentrate with Vitamin C and Caffeine for the first time I was convinced I wasted money. This has grown on me so much. It’s a peptide rich formula with caffeine to depuff. It’s very thin yet creamy and I think that’s prob why it turned me off as I really wanted something thicker, creamier and just more hydrating! I’m so glad I didn’t quit on it because it’s turn into a fond fav of mine. It won’t be for everyone but it has a certain tackiness to it which I oddly enjoy! It just makes the area under my eyes feel more hydrated as it sets. The tackiness lasts for several minutes bit disappears once it settles into your skin. It’s also, one of the very few eye creams that does ease some of my puffiness! This one grows on a person!

It’s not really an eye cream…! But Bobbi Brown Vitamin Enriched Eye Base Primer & Moisturizer with Hyaluronic Acid is amazing. AMAZING, amazing, amazing! You know when you apply your eye cream in the morning and finally sit down to do your makeup only to realize you sort of need a little more moisture under your eyes for your concealer to look it’s very best? That’s exactly where Bobbi Brown Vitamin Enriched Eye Base Primer comes into the picture. I apply my eye cream as always in the morning but when it’s time for my makeup my first step is face primer and my next is Bobbi Brown Vitamin Enriched Eye Base Primer & Moisturizer! It’s a great way to get that extra boast of moisture under drier eyes so your concealer looks perfect, smooth, and not cakey or dry!

If you want BIG time hydration hands down that award goes to Charlotte Tilbury Charlotte’s Magic Eye Cream with Retinol! I’m not a Magic Cream fan girl by any means (although, the Magic Night Cream is awesome!) but the Magic Eye Cream is brilliant. SUPER creamy, SUPER hydrating, this was made with us dry skin girls in mind! Wake up to smooth, well hydrated eyes when using this!

LANEIGE Bouncy & Firm Eye Brightening Sleeping Mask with Peony + Collagen Complex is an odd formula but interesting. It makes a host of promises like treating fine lines, dryness, and puffiness but the real benefit is the fact it really does create bouncier, smoother skin under your eyes. I actually really like this stuff even though I think I might be a bit old for the demographic they are targeting!

Summer Fridays Jet Lag Overnight Eye Serum for Fine Lines & Wrinkles with Gentle Retinol Blend was impossible to find last Sephora Holiday Sale. It had launched shortly before the sale and flew off shelves. It took me well AFTER the sale was over. I didn’t expect much from it as it is a lighter, thinner formula but interestingly enough it hydrates well not to mention I feel like my finer looks look way less visible when I use it consistently! I did think it was over marketed but I’m a believer now!

Friends, I am so not a chocolate-scented beauty lover or at least I wasn’t until recently. I dunno how or when it happened but I really dig anything hot chocolate scented lately so when Dove Hot Cocoa Swirl Body Wash and Hot Cocoa Swirl Body Scrub hit Target I ran to get it. And it sold out. Sigh. Everything sells out lately. Why?! But good news it came back in stock a few days lately and I immediately clicked add to cart. Good news, you can snag the bar soap, body scrub, deo, and body wash if you want it as it’s all online.

As you know Dove Hot Cocoa Swirl is part of the Dove Holiday Treats Collection for 2024. The collection launched last year at Walmart and sold out fast as lighting! This year Dove, created two collections one for Walmart and one for Target. But Hot Cocoa actually isn’t new by any means as last year (and it came back this year) Dove Hot Chocolate Body Scrub was available and I loved it but I ranted about it too as they launched it in a 3.5 oz jar. It was so tiny! Sob! When I originally reviewed it I even mentioned how I wished they’d release a larger size. Well, they did it! They not only launched it bigger but we got an entire Hot Cocoa Collection of products (If you’re reading this Dove we just need a body cream!) for the Holiday season scented just like hot cocoa and fluffy marshmallows.

So, the real question of the moment is DOES Dove Hot Cocoa Swirl smell like Dove Hot Cocoa. As I said, last year Dove introduced a little mini stocking stuffer body scrub scented like Hot Cocoa! It was lovely but oh so tiny. This year, they relaunched that mini but also, brought out the big 10.5 oz Hot Cocoa Swirl Body Scrub. Listen, at $4.99 for 3.5 oz that little scrub is mighty expensive especially when you can get a big old 10.5 oz size for $7 bucks! But do they smell the same? Almost! I would say you can smell a little tiny bit more of the marshmallow in Hot Cocoa Swirl and it’s a little tiny bit less chocolate-y than the original Hot Cocoa Scrub. But all in all, the scents are pretty much the same thing and you REALLY have to do a major sniff test to really notice a major difference between the two. I don’t understand the point of the small pot to be honest. Maybe they see it as a cute stocking stuffer type of thing and it is but at $5 it’s expensive! $2.99 would be a sweeter price tag.

I haven’t gotten the bar of soap or the deo yet but the body wash and scrub are a delight. It’s a beautiful creamy chocolate scent with a touch of fluffy marshmallow! It’s just delicious and such a lovely little Winter treat for the shower. It’s warm, comforting, chocolate-y, and just reminds me of a cold Winter’s day!

The body wash is creamy, moisturizing, and creates tons of lather! I love a rich later moment! The scrub is a less grainy consistency than we get from formulas like Tree Hut. It’s super creamy with a soft grainy texture. I prefer a harsher scrub as I’m a dry skin girl that likes a harsher scrub but this is nice if you want more of a daily scrub that isn’t too harsh. Once you apply water it creates a rich lather that rinses clean away.

Neither the body wash or scrub leave behind a lingering scent so they are an in shower experience! I do wish Dove would create some body lotions with these collections! Maybe next Holiday season! But all and all, I’m more than happy with the Dove Hot Cocoa Swirl Body Wash and Body Scrub! They were both delicious and well worth picking up!

Are you still sitting there? I said RUN! Haha! But in all seriousness, I would run considering how quickly things sell out nowadays! EOS Holiday 2024 Body Lotions have dropped at target.com and kohls.com and I know of one I absolutely need. We already knew about eos Sparkling Amber Shea Better Holiday Body Lotion and eos Whipped Shea & Sugar Shea Better Holiday Body Lotion (I reviewed this one already)! Sparkling Amber has notes of sugared pink grapefruit, rich red berries, blooming star jasmine and pink cotton candy with a warm woody musk where as Shea & Sugar has notes of peonies in bloom, sparkling touch of crisp apple, velvety coconut milk, brown sugar crystals, and vanilla musk!

But wait, there’s more…! EOS dropped a third lotion on us and it’s most exciting one of all! As you well know Vanilla Cashmere Shea Better 24HR Moisture Body Lotion is an incredible gourmand vanilla body lotion! It smells like a yummy vanilla cupcake! It’s perfection! We now have a limited-edition EOS Peppermint Cashmere Shea Better Holiday Body Lotion! I’m screaming and crying and possibly throwing up. Not really but yeah, I’m pretty excited about this one! I suspect it’ll sell out fast once people realize it’s around! This one has notes of icy crushed candy cane, sweet marshmallow fluff, freshly whipped cream, cozy cashmere musk and a touch of smooth sandalwood! Ugh! I’m hearing it smells exactly like Vanilla Cashmere but with crushed candy cane in the mix! Yum! I absolutely need it in my life!

Yeah, I know, it’s a little hard to get excited about makeup and beauty lately! First off, we’re just living in really chaotic times which are stressing us all out. Hurricanes and other natural disasters, the price of groceries, COVID still lingering around every corner, and many other things just sucks the joy out of everything lately. Thinking about your next beauty purchase is likely the last thing on your mind. Not to mention a lot of us have been on the beauty block for a long, long time and nothing is really new and exciting anymore. I still love makeup but I’m not as quick to purchase it as I once was and I’m a bit more thoughtful about what I do buy. I’m not sure if that wisdom came with age, having too much, or just wanting to spend time on the beauty I do love versus a ton of shiny new items that I might not love as much.

The Sephora Savings Event is currently happening and I’m happy to see I didn’t really do any major damage! Did you? I was surprised I even made it to Rouge this year. I realize I’ve said that the past three years but I truly am impressed that I get to that status. I think it’s because of the blog otherwise I’d likely not get to that point.

But facts is facts, I still get excited for makeup, new skincare, and fragrance! Speaking of fragrance…! Wanna hear my biggest beauty want of the moment? Or in this case fragrance want? I’ll share mine if you share yours!

I haven’t ordered it yet as it’ll have to be purchased from Italy and I’m cheap and don’t want to drop a ton of cash on shipping unless I know it’s going to be 100% awesome. BUT….! My current biggest fragrance lemming is Cerchi Nell’Acqua Gingerbread. It has notes of ginger, cinnamon, butter, shortbread, and sugar! I’m hoping it’ll smell like Jo Malone Ginger Biscuit and Bianco Latte had a baby! I’m not really prepared to drop the shipping price on this until I hear some reviews but I’m dying to try it!
